If he is there for a Q&A-Session, I guess there *is* actually a progress ?

@_PAB_

I agree with you. I hope that they are in a good situation. The papyrous seems like a great program, but is a little bit expensive.

The next one great project would be the porting of GIMP 2. What do you think about that?

Hm I think a lot of people would be rather on the lookout for a port of Firefox . Not that the gimp would be a bad thing to have

We should pay Christophe Ochal more than the price for Papyrus!

I believe that both Papyrus and Open Office will have their place in OS4, and I must say that this is a project well worth hearing about!

Eh? I don't mind getting afew beers, but i don't want to be paid for this, if anyone should get money i'd be the actual programmers on the team, not me

Also, don't wait on OOo to become available soon, it'll take *A LONG TIME* before it'll be finished, so go out & buy papyrus

@MagicSN

In this case good news can easily be generated by you yourself, make a public statement that you will join the effort

@ RinceWynd

I believe MagicSN has his hands full already (with work on AmigaInput, WarpUP support and game porting).

@MikeB

Fair enough, maybe the 'easily' is an exaggeration. OTOH everyone involved in the project does so in his/hers spare time. I'm also aware that MagicSN already contributes to the future of the platform, but so do others involved in the project.

To generalize my former post, anybody that hopes this project bears to fruition could ask us 'How can I help?'. Anybody stepping in to help, is good news (especially coders but there's more to be done than coding).

Since the whole project is done by volunteers, who do have other obligations that consume parts of their limited spare time there's basically no expectations in terms of 'when will it be done?'. Bottom line: any offer to help is good news. Really.

Both projects deserve our support and thanks.

I have put my order in for Papyrus
