@Glames

I was just about to ask how the OS4 version is progressing. And if there will be any new features (Sorry, not to distract from this announcement). Any idea of when it will be available?

@Mikey_C

- On your A1? Install Linux and buy the DE player.
- I meant on OS4
- I know but you didn't ask that.

Bill I just tried on my laptop and it comes up with waiting for mobile device to be connected, so I would say that it doesn't run on the DE player

It worked well here. Launched the setup - who passed the files to activesync.
I powered up my HP PDA, that synchronised the game in some seconds via activesync, and then it has been ready to play (and works well;))

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I do think that you try to play his game via a deplayer for desktop windows or linux? I think the installer has been written only for windows ce/windows mobile devices, so it won't run on a deplayer for desktop windows or linux (may be wrong...glames will probably tell it).

It seems to run on one single device.. anywhere my a*s

Absolutely no offense meant towards the people developing this game. I am just a bit annoyed by the bull*hit advertising of Amiga inc.

Yep I know that its meant for PDA's I have it on mine,but as Bill asked if it ran with the desktop DE player I thought I'd just see if it worked on the DE player
which it dosen't
Bill buy yourself a PDA

@tekmage, ajs

It will not work on your PC as it is a specific build for PocketPC. Word Me Up contains Amiga-anywhere engine and thus can't be in this state launched from an AmigaDe player.

@Tomas,

No pb at all!

Everyone can have his own opinion.

My appli (I don't speak of that build) works on Win PC, PocketPC, Smartphone and Linux devices (I don't test last one) so it is a begin but you have to have a player. You need a native player on each unit, that's it.

The only way IMHO to run an appli anywhere is to have an integrated player on all existing devices (as Sun did with its JVM).

@Herewegoagain,

Word Me Up XXl is going forward quite nicely. Graphical art is currently done by several graphical artists. Game is working, even if it remains a few bugs to hunt .

I can't give you any release date but it won't be before full AmigaOS 4.0 release date. The best guess is still "when it's done" , I think.

Wmup XXL has now all features included in Word Me Up for mobile devices.

New features (subject to change of course :
- All drawings will be redrawn (16 bits).
- Joystick support.
- Music during menu.

And perhaps:
- Musics during game.
- New sound effects.
- ...

Thanks for your interest!

So the license issue is sorted out? It used to be that demos couldn't be given away freely because of intent having to be given away with it at the same time.

William
