A very well done magazine.

The MicroA1 review was positive about the MicroA1 hardware and as far as the reviewer could tell was bugfree. He had some trouble getting AOS4 running, but eventually he got it done. He noted this was a Pre-release (having to intall various updates, lacking German documentation and such).

Most of the interview pointed out they keep an eye out on AmigaOS4 development, however Alexander (OS4 path browser) recommended not to wait for the final release, as in his opinion the only thing not final about AmigaOS pre-release is its name.

The tutorials were very informative for new AmigaOS4 users and included many screenshots.

Although they recommended AmigaWorld.net in the Magazine, they mistakenly thought (due to forum rumours) that AmigaWorld is heavily influenced by Eyetech. But of course DaveyD is in full control and Eyetech isn't even a sponsor for a long time now.

there are other minor things to fix/add to make it final.

BTW:

You can find a AOS4 review in English from the great Total Amiga Issue 20.

Thanks for the plug, Amiga Insider seems like a great mag (unfortunately I don't speak German either) and were kind enough to run an Ad. for Total Amiga too, we'll be returning the favour in our issue 21.

I also wanted to mention that the OS 4 article is not actually a review, rather it is the the latest part of our regular "OS 4 Update" series. In each issue of Total Amiga, we summarise the latest OS 4 developments aiming to keep all readers up-to-date on progress.

We've just finished the next installment of OS 4 Update which will be published in Total Amiga 21, due for release around the end of the month.

Robert

Elwood sez: " there are other minor things to fix/add to make it final."

But they'll ALWAYS be things to fix, and things to add, I'd agree with article, well the little translation at the top, that pre-release is certainly useable, heck, I'm using it now, and not to wait GET IT NOW!!!

cough, if you can, cough.. cough..
