Same here. I just do not have time to do all that I want to. Soon though.

How does this podcasting work? |
A podcast is just an audio programme usually provided in MP3 format, what makes it special is the way it is distributed. What happens is this:
The podcaster publishes an RSS feed (which is simply a specially formatted text file) on a web server, the feed contains a description of each podcast and a link to where it can be downloaded. When the podcaster releases a new programme, he or she updates the feed to include an additional entry.
A podcast client like AmiPodder regularly monitors all the podcast feeds you give it and when a new programme is available from any feed downloads it. The idea is that when you then want something to listen to it has already been downloaded. If you prefer things not to be downloaded automatically AmiPodder also allows you to browse the available podcasts in your feeds and download them manually.
Because podcasts are just MP3 files you can listen to them on a portable player or on the computer. AmiPodder supports both these options.
If you want more technical details or some history on podcasting then there is a good artilce on Wikipedia here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Podcasting

Me too! I have it downloaded but not installed.
For me it's having to download various other files/libs etc just to use it. Everytime I go to run it I get a very helpful requester telling me what I need, but I have to do all that manually.
Maybe I'm just lazy. Do you think these needed libs could be included in future releases of AmiPodder so a single install will have it run straight off?

If you install rxMUI and the TheBar and NList custom classes (you more than likely have at least NList already as it's used by lots of MUI programs) then you should be good to go. Although AmiPodder lists several libraries it needs, they are included in the rxMUI archive.
I have considered including the required libraries in the archive but keeping it up-to-date when they are updated is quite a chore. Also, rxMUI is a big package compared to AmiPodder (over a meg) so it would really bloat the archive.
Hope you get around to giving it a go :)
