| @ all the OS4 porters
Do you (the porters) get any response from the orignal authors? I am interested to know what they think of their work being ported to AmigaOS4. Are they helpful, happy to see their stuff running on an amiga or are they totally indifferent to it. |

| @dazA1: sometimes. Usually they are interested and ask some details. They are helpful and cooperative.
I have been talking to (at least) ScummVM, NoGravity, Ur-Quan Masters, OpenTTD and Schism tracker authors. Nice people all! |

Thats good to know, i had thought maybe you would get some negative responses. The more positive reactions there is of AmigaOS4 outside the amiga community the greater the chance of one of them taking the plunge and joimimg us.
Keep making those good impressions and dont stop porting! |

| guys... here is 2 tips:
tips 1:
if you guys have downloaded Urban masters , grab the voice package + 3do package aswell (on SF ,..see readme on os4depot for direct link) as wow...its damn cool (huge too....120mb or so)
tips 2:
for blobtrix , remember to press refresh to get the server list "up" the first time you show the server window (its not a bug just soje weird design) _________________ See my blog and collection website! . https://www.blog.amigaguru.com

| Thanks Mr. Capehill, I got the UQM 0.4.0 sources a few weeks ago and concluded, that it'd be a while before I get to seriously play that one. I was wrong.
Toaks: Yes, those packages are well worth installing, however when using anything less than 512 kbps connection, it's best to pick just 3d0music. I wonder if there will be a speech package utilizing ogg vorbis. edit: It is ogg. That's a LOT of talk. Last edited by Thematic on 28-Sep-2005 at 12:16 AM.

| I look forward updating UQM. Currently it seems to be a bit slower on my G3 (Radeon 7000) than on my pc (AMD XP2200+ with Radeon 9100).
I will build OpenGL support at some point and try to improve sound player - sometimes small delays here. |
