Software News   Software News : New Prism2.device version available on OS4Depot
   posted by Ami603 on 30-Sep-2005 10:59:38 (3919 reads)
Starting from my own usage of this driver, and by some external reports i've got,
i noticed that this driver didn't allow the system to reboot properly, having to
issue a full reset button to be able to reboot properly when this driver was loaded.
thanks to Stephane Guillard advice, i've added a reset handler to it, and now it
works for me, but it could be broken for others, please test it.

Driver for 11Mbps wireless network cards

Arh, so that is what has been causing my problem, I had been wondering about that, if I power up from cold, everything is fine, but anything other than powering off and back on again caused a reboot back to UBoot everytime kickstart loaded. I'll try this out later and let you know if it cures my problem.

Unfortunately it stil doesn't work on my Micro AOne, I get random and bad freezes (have to reset on the case), so I'm gone back to the cable ethernet. :(

Ciao
Luca

Me too, Luca. Random crashes that require cold reboot on my Micro, with an IBM 750FX. AmigaKit offered to swap it out for me, but something's telling me it might be a software problem. When I can, I'm going to try the Linksys in our Wintel tower just to be safe.

BTW -- when I did PCIscan on the wireless card, it came up as Prism v2.5 -- is this perhaps a reason??
