| Is there any content? I mean can I go there and pay for some game and run it on my mobile phone or any other (AmigaAnywhere) device?

Is that not the problem? I mean it only runs on a Windows Mobile branded device. Should you not have at least a dozen devices on which you can run the same content?

| While I think it's nice to see that Amiga finally seems to be making some progress, I'm amazed that they get any deals with a website that looks that unprofessional..
Back in 96/97 it might have been ok.. Now it just looks really bad and dated.. |

Does it run on latest Linux distributions? I doubt.

| And there is no mention of "amiga" on the NHL website, of course. Last edited by elwood on 04-Oct-2005 at 11:42 AM.

Is that not always the case? There is a partnership and it never (press release) shows up at the partner's website.

| Saw someone posted this to the forums previously, and read the 'news release.'
Hmm. Well, looking at nhl.shopamiga.com , I see the same uninspiring AA stuff, with 'platforms' either being Microsoft PocketPC or Windows Mobile Smartphone.
I see no choice for 'Anywhere'?
This could be interesting, IF AInc actually does anything. I'd expect the NHL to have someone with a clue, and ask for at least some Proof Of Concept demos, having something to do with hockey...
So, whatever happened to their 'other' news item- being an IPAQ developer or something. I see no platform support listed there either...so is AInc going to actually do something or just make announcements?
I'm still sort of waiting for AA on OS4 (which Garry H said was 'available and paid for by AInc), but lack of much in the way of interesting titles for AA has made it pretty much irrelevant.
Good luck, AInc, may you find success enough to leave OS4 alone forever. (or bankruptcy, whichever, as long as OS4 is left alone.. ) _________________ Are we not done with the same silly arguments and flames yet??!

| Who knows what exactly Ainc are up to? The AmigaDE content we've seen from them so far has mainly been a bit luke warm and not particularly appealing.
Amiga must have something to offer these companies though, otherwise they wouldn't partner with them. There may also be better titles on the way as quality software can take many months or years to develope.
Although it is a good thing that Hyperion are allowed autonomy over the developement of OS4, it would be nice to Amiga have some involvelement in the marketing and sale of OS4 once it goes gold. This may still happen though as they at least have enough interest in OS4 for Gary Hare to have had the IRC with us and provide Hyperion with the mystery technology sample.
If all they wanted to do was sell AmigaDE stuff, why bother with the above.
As always we have to grit our teeth (or bitch and moan) and wait and see what happens. |
