Hmm - so that's where they got the name from, then?

Interesting...
Is that hardware SSL??

Oh dear. Will that be enough? Nobody will ever need more than 640KB^H^H^H^H^H^H 128GB _________________

Big and little endianness is a part of the PPC specification, there are chips out there that breaks that though, like the 970 series (current G3 and G4 CPUs play nice though, IIRC). One of the pros of bi-endianness when compared to a fixed endianness CPU, is that bi-endinaness can make porting of code with another endianness easier. Plus, obstinate hardware that requires a fixed enieness mode from the CPU will play much nicer due to no clockcyckles having to be used for endianness convertion on the fly. |

| Couple that with http://focus.ti.com/docs/pr/pressrelease.jhtml?prelId=sc05239 for PCI compatibility (6 PCI devices) and you've got a nice system without requiring the use of a standard I/O controller. Of course, as standard I/O controllers exist that connect to PCIe anyway, and provide their own PCI bus interface, it might not be an issue apart from having to write drivers for the I/O controller rather than attaching PCI devices that already have AmigaOS drivers available for them (SI IDE/SATA controller, 3com Ethernet, the AmigaOne's audio chip, etc). |

| AWESOME stuff...
This is definitely in the great interests of Reality Design and hopefully we can have this in future developments. _________________

| This looks like some serioulsy high-end kit when compared to what AmigaOne's are currenlty packing.... is there even a chance in hell of such a small time machine like the A1 including this calibur of hardware? Or will will we more than likley recieve the rights to use it as a hand-me-down from another company when they are done with it in 2014? |

How can you say that! Your just clueless..
Maybe not 2014 but rather 2007-2008 I would think. Maybe earlier if they can produce these chips faster than the market asks for them. Lets see what happens..
Btw is it IBM that's going to produce these chip for PA Semi or what? _________________ /Harry
