Software News   Software News : Amiga Bourne Compatible Shell 0.0.38
   posted by hnl_dk on 30-Jan-2006 15:29:03 (3059 reads)
abc-shell is a Bourne/POSIX compatible shell, that can be very usefull when porting from POSIX systems.

With this new version, are You able to use absolute Amiga style paths from within abc-shell.
There has also been some other changes to make it more easy to use...

please update to abc-shell-0.0.38

I have made an upload to AmigaOS.dk, OS4Depot.net and Aminet.net

If You have any questions, ideas or bugfixes, then contact us - https://sourceforge.net/projects/abc-shell - or me private - hnl_dk@amigaos.dk - thanks for Your support.

Best regards,
hnl_dk - Henning Nielsen Lund

Great work!

With this combined with the SDK and the other tools on OS4 depot I'm now able
to configure certain programs with a simple ./configure.

Keep up the good work.

Cheers,
Bean.

I keep seeing newer versions of Unix commands but in a lot of cases
can't even tell what version I currently have. Would it really be that
hard to throw in an Amiga version string to avoid confusion?
char *amiversion = $VER 99.99 or something? No need for complicated
automatic version generating; it only takes a second to change a number
in the code.

@Xenic

Amiga style version string is now implemented. Will be in the next release.
