Software News   Software News : Rainbow Screenblanker module released.
   posted by TrebleSix on 9-Feb-2006 16:07:49 (2699 reads)
This was a bloody fast release!

RainbowBlanker is a simple fullscreen palette rotation screenblanker module I made to replicate the one that was available in the original Blanker. Source code is included.

I guess it utilises the screensaver modules feature of OS4 update 4

Yeah.. Nice if someone could do some Warp3D modules aswell.
Maybe GLMatrix could be converted to a module to?

Especially if it can be made to be less of a CPU hog.

I liked it, but it eats up 100% CPU power when it is running, which precludes running something like the distributed.net client in the background.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

A picture slideshow that use Warp3d for nice effects rendering (fading, zooming, rotating,...) would be nice too. I have nice pic to display when I'm listening music

@Petrol

I agree. I hope Cobra has something like that coming soon as an extension of his WarpView.

Well, as a beta tester I had a head start

Nonetheless you're correct as I did make the first version of that blanker module the very next day after the engine was made available to us for testing.

I had to wait until update 4 was out to release it though.

@AmigAlex
I didn't manage to install it. I may try again at the 3-Cag meeting this Sunday.

Any other ScreenBlankers planned for the near future ?

Jerry
