Hey, that's funny, I coded this demo years ago... (damn, 1996, I'm getting old). It looks like my old Amiga background is sending me a signal :)

I can't remember where I used this CIA feature though. I guess it was for the demo timing.

Can you remove the CIA timer from the code? And maybe add AHI support?

@Dary

I'm not using WinUAE anymore since I bought a few A1200s and now the A1... But it's certainly WinUAE which helped me understood all I was missing and convince me to come back to the Amiga Crowd.

An updated version of e-UAE would now be GREAT !

Jerry

Are you Darken/Haujobb, who coded this rather fantastic demo: Aphrodisiae?

Nice to see you are still around

Thanks, yes I am ^^

Still around the Amiga stuff, mostly by reading Amigaworld (though not posting often). This golden age is behind me, but I have to admit OS4 looks very interesting. I'm waiting for some sort of official hardware to run it, just like many of us :)

Isn't this a bit anti-Amiga? Running Amiga software on a none Amiga with most users using pirated Rom-images and Amiga software.

Is it that being on emu changes so much a person that, if this person uses Emulation it has to use Pirated Software, and if he uses native it has to have original.. :S

Maybe there's other variables too, like what is commercial these days on Amiga (for OS3.*) there's lot of abandonware nowadays that you couldn't buy even if you wanted... then there's a great source of PD software or liberated one... TVPaint, Perfect Paint, PPaint, you could check also AIAB, Amikit with lots of good PD Software...

BTW, MorphOS uses emulation too, AmigaOS again also (both having a m68k virtual machine), plus another emu packs (MAME, PS) are you saying that all these users are Anti-Something and that they only run pirated stuff on their machines?

@BlueTroll
well... could you explain us where did you get the information that "most users are using pirated Rom-images and Amiga software"? Have you done any sociological survey or something? Or should we consider your assumptions as nothing worth our attention?

@BlueTroll

I have nothing ageist WinUAE or E-UAE, it’s after the only way you run old hardware banning programs and games, whit using an old Amiga that is showing signs of old age in more the one way, WinUAE helps promote AmigaOS this days, only few have access to AmigaOnes.

I honestly own all these kicstarts when I bought myself amiga 500, upgraded it her to 2.0, bough Amiga 600, thrown that piece of junk to the trash, and of course now I own the * angel music * Amiga 1200 . I use WinUAE FOR THE SOLE REASON of developing for real Amiga platforms, 68k and PPC alike. I use my real amiga for the real fun

I believe thoroughly that WinUAE is the best thing for Amiga community as a development tool program, but like anything in life it can be used as a weapon, is the true intention of that person that uses it determines wether evil or good actions are resulted.
