Events   Events : Midland Amiga Group latest news
   posted by niceguy1979 on 22-Feb-2006 21:22:07 (2991 reads)
It's about time for another meeting of the Midland Amiga Group which is great news on these cold winters days. The next meeting is this Sat 25th at the Earlsdon Methodist Church venue in Coventry. That's the good news.

The bad news is that the website (which I wont bother to link) is broken due to NTL being a bunch of incompetant so and so's. Hopefully the site will be up and running again, but if anybody needs directions before the next meeting (see above) they can PM me.

Cheers

This should be the first opportunity to view Amiga Ones with OS4 updated with the latest developers pre release. Hopefully new hardware is on the horizon so this should whet your appetite for the final release of OS4. There should be at least two Amiga Ones at the meeting. Regular vistitors to this site may have read FuZion's excellent and very comprehensive view of OS4 developer release 4 so come along and meet the man himself. His knowledge of OS4 is certainly impressive !!

For a bit of nostalgia we'll get a CD32 with an SX-1 up and running - tons of games on the hard drive for relaxation. AmiKit will also get a look in as it's an impressive pre configured Amiga emulatition.

Sorry guys, won't be able to make this one (and I know where the damn venue is too)
Best of luck with the meet - I'll be along to the next one!

Was hoping to make this my first MAG meeting, but sadly work beckons.

However, if a temporary site is needed until NTL sort themselves out, I could offer some webspace.

Hoped I'd be able to get to a MAG meeting soon (I live in Warwick uni which is just up the road from the venue) but I'm busy elsewhere this weekend I'm sure it'll be a good meeting for those who can come, however

If I remember my Digicam, some pictures could certainly be feasible...

Anything more, like a report, I make no promises, but will see what I can do...

Doh !
another one I can't make - good excuse this time: My wife is about 38 weeks pregnant,
so I am effectively grounded for the next few weeks.

Will look forward to a report, etc - Stimpy, take pics !

@Agafaster

You should have told me that when it would have the most effect on my memory ie. about half an hour before I get picked up As it stands, I'll see what I can do...

@JurassicC

All comers welcome, no matter how far afield they come from You can trash Rudei's record for furthest-travelled visitor in one fell swoop

See ya's all soon...

For this particular meeting we are looking at a 2 O'clock start. Finishing depends on the venue (or when we've had enough !) so I would say between 5 - 6 O'Clock.

Hope you can make this and future meetings.
