Why I can`t save the prefs? It never worked in any version of jabberwocky I tried!

BTW: to all interested: at http://www.xmpp.net you can find a nice list of Jabber servers around the world (several of them have MSN transports... just have some patience and look for the one has the transports you need).

I do a better test and I check all the options are saved OK except the only one I use daily ( Send plain text password )!!!!!

As stated in the guide, that is intentional. The original Jabberwocky author only included that option for developement testing purposes. The original Jabber authentication mechanism is not foolproof or unbreakable but it provides some degree of protection. Sending a plain text password is just asking to have your Jabber account hijacked and misused by someone else.

Besides, the new Jabberwocky beta uses the SASL authentication specified in the XMPP specifications to connect to updated Jabber servers. The "plain text" password option is ignored because new servers won't even allow that type of authentication anymore. Eventually, I should eliminate that prefs option.
