Wow. This is getting bigger and bigger. Soon developers are going to need a good search program to find relevant image sets.

I'll start using this when I finally get round to doing some GUI stuff.

Hans

EDIT: Oh, and I agree, they look nice

Mason is a de-i-ty

These really really need to be a resource that is a standard part of the OS, and everyone out there building speedbars and so on needs to use these. Well designed, attractive button imagery that are common to all applications in the system, is an essential part of a modern operating system's usability.

So these images are installed into a certain directory with a standard assign,
and then applications can access them to provide a standard toolbar set?

I need to read up a bit more on this, they look absolutely great and I'd like
to use some of them.

Excellent work.

Cheers,
Bean.

The standard images of AISS are installed into the 'default' directory and if you have some special images that are not part of AISS you can store them in the 'contrib' directory. Both directories are merged together by AISS and you can access them via 'TBImages:'. If two images with the same name are stored in each drawer, the pictures from the 'default' directory will be used.

@Mason

This system of yours could be a really nice addition to the themes for OS4.
Each theme get it's own toolbar images following the style of the theme..

About the contrib directory.. What if I install a toolbar set for IBrowse in
contrib and its name clashes with a name in TBImages:? Then AISS starts
using some of the standard images and some of the new.. Wouldn't this
be a problem? Could look strange if the size and look is different..
Or would AISS Prefs have some kind of warning for names that are the
same in contrib?
