Software News   Software News : BarsnPipes 1.25b with fixed GUI
posted by alfa on 12-May-2006 21:07:59 (2170 reads)
! This for the classic AMIGA-OS !

Because the "Skinability"-feature of BarsnPipes New was only used very rare in the past, I've decided, to make a additional version, which has all (460) GUI-pictures of my 64-color-GUI fix integrated. External pics-loading is not neccessary. This reduces the loading time dramaticaly, especially on slower AMIGAs. It depends now mainly on the number of installed tools and/or accessories.

If the user don't need the "Skiability"-feature, this version maybe the better choice.

In the functionality this version is identical to v.1.25.

You can get it here

BarsnPipes New 1.25b

Kindly
Alfred

So what you're saying is that it's sorta still skinable, but you're stuck with 460 skins to choose from because they're compiled into the binary?

No, I think we wanted to say that theere is only ONE skin integrated into binary and it consist of 460 small pictures. The whole GUI is then build up from these pictures. It took some time for slower Amigas to load all of them on startup.

This is exactly the case.
For OS4 I'll not make such a version.
