Well, Damn! You got my hopes right up there only to have them come crashing down.
This project looks to be only in early alpha stage as it looks to be crashing alot and rather hard.
I look forward to further testing results in this smashing idea of a project.

This might be fine as a thread in "Free for all", but as a news item this rather unimportant *cough* "news" only makes the important items (e.g. Pianeta Amiga, hardware announcements, McEwen message) drop off the list even earlier.

If we would have news categories such as "hardware", "software" and "other" this wouldn't be any problem since we would have a centralized list of relevant news items and would not have to browse through many pages of irrelevant stuff to e.g. find the latest update from ACK. Sorry for being a party-pooper. Yes, destroying old computers is very funny, hahaha.
Although - in my country we rather donate them to either underfunded schools or to organisations who give them to people in need.

A laugh every once and a while should be possible.

And I do think "the important" news items are already well known before they move of the list. And in our country we donate them also... but first of all I do not think they make use here of 486pc's and nobody said this thing booted or worked before launch.

And no it's not destroying PC's ... it's throwing them as far as possible, it's a sport like any other. And in 2007 we will make a championship.

And plz go poop on someone elses party. I do not poop on yours do I ?

Sure, and I did not critizise that in my post.

"Well-known" is relative. Many people do not pop in here daily and as you might have noticed there are still many people asking "By the way, where can I buy OS4-hardware or is there any announced?". The problem is that it is very difficult to collect together relevant information and browsing through 10 pages of old news including "news" such as this is not extremely funny.

I am perfectly fine with your "joke" - if it only would have been posted as a thread in "Free for all".

Well it passed the moderating so that's out of my hands.

And for the Greenpeace activists inhere... yes we collected all the bit's and pieces and they are nicely dropped in the corresponding container at the place we rent for our meetings... feel free to visit our page with pictures of that night, even more peacefull braindeath geeks using Amiga's and drinking beer. http://users.pandora.be/amigaone/amigaclub/pics/00-albums-2/2006-09-09/frank/album/index.html

Yep. The news section is getting more and more spammed. How could this have passed internal approval?
If I would post a video of me destroying an Atari, would you also approve that? Or a oh-so-funny video of Bill Gates getting a cake in his face?

No, we really need a section for "kindergarden humour" that doesnt show up on the front page.
Seriously, on the one hand interesting "Alternative OS" threads are hidden away from the front page and spam like this shows up with bold letters on the frontpage as the latest news in Amigaworld.
Something is seriously wrong here.

Let me guess you are the number 1 in line when it comes to "I want OS4 on x86" ?

And when you look at the daily news on the TV, are all items of interest to you? Do you call your station to say there was something in the news you didn't like and something was not in there you did wanted to see?

I just wanted to show the world that you can have fun in various ways when computing. Lighten up and stop calling things kindergarten stuff and this and that... the are far worse things in the world to keep you busy.

I would have posted exactly the same when you would have spammed about destroying any other platform. I give a sh*t if it's a x86, Amiga, Atari or Macs that you are destroying in your so-called contest. It's all spam when posted as a news item.

No, of course not. But it's all _news_ what they show there, they don't broadcast spam such as this (at least not on my favourite TV-station).

No, because they broadcast _news_. What you posted is only spam.

You could have done that in a thread and not as a news item.
