How did they get funding to buy ADI? Easy, they
paid in Amiga Inc shares. Many companies pay
everything or a large portion of the sum in their
own shares. Maybe the indians accepted 20-30%
of Amiga Inc.. Suckers! :P

Skype was paid in 50% cash and 50% eBay
shares IIRC. That Swede Zetterström sure
made a good deal there.. 30+ billion SEK.

Interesting. According to Wikipedia, one of Kouri's companies is/was Espial. Remember when they were going to provide the web browser for the next of AmigaOS? Escape wasn't a bad little browser back then. He was also a director/shareholder at Nokia. Remember the AmigaDE/Nokia STB deal?

I wonder how far back his Amiga connection goes...?

The Net Ventures website still lists Amiga Inc. in their portfolio.

@ironfist

I thought Amiga Inc was a private company?

It is. The shares referred to are not publicly traded shares on a stock exchange, but rather private shares, owned by individuals and/or venture capital firms.
