I dunno, but if it's a startup, people should make sure to see if they have money or backing in
the first place. Don't need another Merlancia situation. These guys are offering pretty much just stock in the company, so you gotta make sure you're not getting a big slice of zero $.

@AW staff.

Since this company is no longer Amiga related (so it seems), why is this news item on AW?

Can ANY company that needs programmers for Linux, Windows etc. post a news item here?

Shame if they actually succced and drag developers away from OS4 application development. OS4 developers => Windows/Linux = No good!

@Troels,

It's a chance for beginning / hobby programmers to get a stab at a bigger project.

For AHT's Nuvio.tv team, we are looking for people with knowledge of:

They are not asking for years of experience. Most job offers do ask for that.
If anyone thinks he can learn from joining them, well, good luck. Who knows, maybe that person learns some tricks and makes/ports a nice Amiga program.

@Elwood
Thanks, we're following it already but we have our hardware developments.

@Troels
If anybody wants to do an AmigaOS port of Nuvio TV, we will fully support that, although it is not our primary goal. Mind you, several parts of Nuvio TV do already run on AmigaOS.

@Palpatine

Care to enlighten us as to what we can expect from your work?

I'm guessing its some kind of Media centre type box?

@L8-X

See http://www.aht-international.com

First up is the software release, to be followed by the hardware (HDTV) boxes.

If you refer to AHT I assure you they are not a "startup".
They have been involved in this community at several levels for quite some time.
Although their current focus, mentioned by Ron, is not Amiga products as such,
they are associated with some very impressive organizations.

That is always reasonable advice.

i am sorry but if drm is included you can count me out as a user if or when this gets released. drm is a blight on humanity imo.

i'll stick to what i got.

So, how exactly are you going to be able to watch paytv and DVD's without one form or another of DRM?

It's not their fault if the market they want to play in requires them to use DRM.

AHT were screwed over by Amiga Inc, right? A few years back, about
the AmigaOS license?

Don't expect them to be interested in developing anything for the Amiga..
