I hope they will consider doing a "clean" version of this magazine without any bbrv-advertising for us real Amigans. It shouldn't be too hard to publish a second edit where all bbrv-advertising has been ripped out. What does Efika have to do with "Amiga" anyway? It is not the official solution and not TM? There is no place for it in a magazine called "Total Amiga".

@hatschi

quite right too; we don't need that efika-soaked top-shelf filth.

"total real-amiga" - a sort of playboy-for-grannies

edit: addendum:-

does everyone not see the horrendous irony of this? so much so that I simply can't believe I read what I did.

Ooooohhhh, you just woke me up. That had gone completely over my head.

Can't wait for the explanation.

Awesome! Sounds like it is going to be a great read over the Christmas break Must remember to submit an article for next issue.......maybe one on returning to the fold? There seems to be a lot of ex users popping up after a long hiatus. I managed to get a 4000 for free! Whoohoo!

BTW, Total Amiga have reported in the past on Pegasos and MorphOS. Why would they not review Efika? (Putting aside all the BBRV stuff that I have no idea what it is all about)

Just to be clear, like the rest of our editorial coverage, the Efika item (which is a news item rather than a review BTW) was not paid for by Bill Buck or anyone else. Any paid-for advertising in Total Amiga is clearly presented as such.

Regular readers will be aware that Total Amiga covers all topics that we think will be of interest to Amiga users which includes MorphOS and compatible hardware. This has been the case since the start of the magazine, so I'm a little surprised that the Efika item has caused so much comment (some of it possibly sarcastic, smilies would help guys) here.

Especially from those who normally are of the same persuasion as the aforementioned article. Irony or Politics?

Am i missing something inhere ? You help splitting up the userbase inhere with anti-blue behavior and now you advertise your magazine with articles about Efika and other blue stuff ? Before you know there is going to be another magazine I guess.
"Real Amigazine" or something

Or why don't we just pull the plug altogether? It's your choice, we either carry on writing about everything (hence "Total") Amiga related or "Totally" give up and there will be no more English language Amiga magazines out there!

Wether you accept it or not, MorphOS is capable of running Amiga OS programs so it does come under the umbrella of things we cover in Total Amiga.

We have always put MorphOS and MorphOS capable hardware related news in the magazine. We have a semi-regular MorphOS update column written by our own (SEAL member) Pegasos user Sam Bifford.

We do this magazine for no profit whatsoever, off our own backs, in our spare time and if it isn't appreciated it would be far easier to stop altogether, so maybe we should stop if our readers don't like what news we have in there?

Who helped splitting up the userbase? If you think we (Total Amiga) are part of that you are very wrong! I think you are missing very much, look through our issues and say where you see anything that would be splitting up the userbase!

As I stated earlier we have always had articles about MorphOS and MorphOS capable hardware.

Yeah right! Cos there is such a huge market for such a thing isn't there! Think of all the money to be made in selling all those hundreds of thousands of magazines..... oh no, last count we sold 600! Unless you are refering to inferior quality on-line magazines I guess?

We were only using the very same logic that one of your editors (and the person who posted this news) used for this website (Amigaworld = only AmigaOS4 (TM), keep out evil bbrv-products) on Total Amiga. The irony was kinda obvious. Sorry for any confusion caused.
