| Thanks for porting another of those essential tools required to make OS4 a platform I could use to get my job done without the requiring a Windows or Linux PC.
Now all I need is a Modern web browser and a Java port, so I can access the web interfaces of various embedded devices such as my router and printer.
Oh and of course some hardware to run it on _________________ Sam440ep 667mhz, 512MB, 120GB 2.5" HD, OS4.1FE WinUae 3.0.0, OS 3.9, BB3, Catweasel MkIV Amiga 1200, Blizzard 040/40 (BlizzardPPC 060/200 with SCSI removed at present), mediatorSX pci, Voodoo3, PCI network card os 3.9BB2 4MB Minimig with ARM addon boar

Well done. Finally some good news. _________________ AmigaOS or MorphOS on x86 would sell orders of magnitude more than the current, hardware-intensive solutions. And they'd go faster.-- D.Haynie

| Any chance of getting this hosted somewhere else? As os4depot is currently in a "This account has been suspended" state... i.e. this thread. |

| Just upload it to Aminet, with the 9 mirrors it should be safe. If I had downloaded it, I could've done it, although some people seem to think that redistributing free/open source software is unethical...
If anyone wants to, it's a golden opportunity to check out the new upload interface at http://aminet.net/upload Last edited by nicomen on 19-Dec-2006 at 01:24 AM. Last edited by nicomen on 19-Dec-2006 at 12:16 AM.

This is Amigaland Nuff said. :p
Hopefully someone managed to download it, so they can upload it to Aminet. _________________ Site admins are people too..pooff!

| Apparently, it's not possible to upload any OpenSSH software to Aminet for some reason that I don't understand.
From Aminet: Quote:
Since posting SSH programs to Aminet is not possible due to legal reasons, this note is posted to point you to the URL from which you can download OpenSSH 3.0.2 for your Amiga:
http://www.chernoff.org/amiga/amiga-openssh.lha
This archive contains a fully-tested and functional OpenSSH client for your Amiga, as well as non-tested SCP and SFTP clients (use at your own risk).
This archive also contains a partially-tested, partially- functional SSHD server for your Amiga. While I was unable to get the SSHD server to function as it should/would on UNIX platforms, I was able to find a way to use the SSHD server to secure/encrypt a telnet channel for you so that you could have secure telnet sessions (similiar to SSH). Full instructions are in the Readme in the amiga-openssh.lha archive.
Good luck!

| I can't possibly see how a readme that someone uploaded in 2002 should have any authority on what Aminet accepts, nor be interpreted as the absolute truth regarding software licenses, patent issues and cryptology export rules that might vary over time, country or similar.
1) There are various SSH implementations, including various that have used names similar to OpenSSH.
2) As http://openssh.org states, and most of the world know (most Linux and *BSD distributions use and distribute open ssh as their default ssh implementation), OpenSSH has circumvented all issues regarding the above-mentioned areas and can be freely distributed. (it doesn't include IDEA and other algorithm patents are not vald anymore. In addition necessary code was exported legally from US by a german to Canada years ago.) Read more here: http://www.openssh.org/history.html
We will look into the specific quoted readme and see what we can do to avoid confusion. Possibly also clarify that the content of readmes are not to be considered as Aminet's or any other but the uploader's point of view. _________________ Nicolas Mendoza
