   posted by Curty on 8-Feb-2007 23:27:30 (3449 reads)
Ive just uploaded WiFiSignal 1.4 to to os4depot.net.
WifiSignal is Signal Quality/Strength meter for the Prism2 range of Wifi cards.
I wrote this when I first started learning C and thought it would be a handy little program.
Get WiFiSignal Here!
Enjoy

It shows Shows Signal Quality on scale of 5 Bars, and SigNoise Ratio on a docky and in a window Signal Level,
Noise Level,
Signal to Noise Ratio,
Signal Quality,
SSID,
Encrytion type,Get WiFiSignal Here!
and Network type.

Looks neat. Any plans for a 68k version?

@Both
Havent really thought about a 68k version,
I suppose it could be done with not much work, although this would waste time where I could be developing for OS4!!
I'll have a good think about it I promise.

@curty

A nice addition to your program would be a way to detect other networks along with signal strength and network type.(Note: i don't know if current prism2.device would allow this however).

Anyway, i love this tool.

@Ami603

I gotta agree this is one of the features id like to add to it, but im sure the driver doesnt currently allow this.
Would be good to have a list of networks and allow the user to click and select what to connect to.
Perhaps thats one for me to pass by the prism2.device author.

Also thanks for the praise, Its nice to get a little feedback.
