Software News   Software News : Hollywood Designer 2.0 released
posted by softwarefailure on 18-Mar-2007 15:07:22 (2176 reads)
Airsoft Softwair are very proud to announce that the final version of Hollywood Designer 2.0 is now available for AmigaOS3, AmigaOS4, MorphOS and for the first time also for WarpOS. Hollywood Designer 2.0 is the ultimate presentation editing software for AmigaOS(tm) and compatible operating systems. Hollywood Designer 2.0 is a high-end software package which allows for a very professional use of your Amiga system. You can create just about everything with Hollywood Designer 2.0: From simple slide presentations accompanying a speech or lectureto complex kiosk applications (e.g. a train ticket vending machine) which react dynamically on user input.
It's all possible with Hollywood Designer and it can be done with just a few clicks!

Hollywood Designer 2.0 is the next generation of the famous Hollywood Designer and introduces lots of new features which will establish Hollywood Designer 2.0 as the most sophisticated presentation editing software on the Amiga platform. With Hollywood Designer 2.0 you can save your presentations for AmigaOS3, AmigaOS4, MorphOS, WarpOS and even AROS. Here are some of the major new features of Hollywood Designer 2.0, but there is a lot more:

- Completely rewritten layout dialog: Everything can be done with the mouse now!
- Anti-aliasing is supported for all objects including text
- Massive palette of auto forms is now available (arrows, stars, bubbles, bangs ...)
- Configure your autoforms easily through draggable hot spots
- Create pie charts very easily
- Create your own forms with the polygon tool
- Free scaling and rotation of objects with the mouse
- MP3s can be embedded in the presentations now
- Support for different form styles: filled, outline, gradient, texture
- Transparent shadow can be added to objects now
- Graphics with alpha channel can be used for an ultra smooth look
- Extremely fast WarpOS native version is now available
- Animations can be scaled now (also with anti-alias)
- Easy duplication of slides now possible
- Undo/redo support for ALL operations
- Much more flexible font interface with on-the-fly text formatting
- Buttons can use pixel-exact collision detection now
- Your presentations can also be saved for AROS now
- 32-bit PNG toolbars and animations in the GUI: Enjoy the 2007 look of Hollywood Designer!
- GUI is fully user-configurable now through the use of MUI
- Ready for MUI 4.0!
- guigfx.library and render.library no longer required
- Lots of other changes, optimizations and bug fixes

Please note that these were only some of the major new features of Hollywood Designer 2.0. The program has received a total overhaul and is now better than ever! As a picture is worth more than a 1000 words, please visit the Airsoft Softwair web page for screenshots of Hollywood Designer 2.0 in action. These screenshots are from the AmigaOS4 version of Hollywood Designer 2.0 but the program is also available for AmigaOS3, WarpOS and MorphOS with the same
set of features.

For a detailed description of all the features of Hollywood Designer 2.0, please visit the product page of the program which should contain everything you want to know about this impressive software. Due to the fact
that it is possible to access the complete function set of Hollywood (which contains almost 400 functions)
through Hollywood Designer 2.0, the program constitutes such an extremely powerful tool for all conceivable
uses that it does not have to hide itself from comparable products in the PC world.

Hollywood Designer 2.0 comes on a CD-ROM that contains versions for all supported platforms: There are native
versions of the program for AmigaOS3 (m68k), WarpOS (ppc), MorphOS (ppc), and AmigaOS4 (ppc). A download version is also offered. If you order the download version, you will have to download an ISO image which you need to burn on CD-R then. If you already own Hollywood Designer 1.0, you can buy a discounted upgrade version. Have a look at the order page for special offers.

Please note that Hollywood Designer 2.0 runs on top of the Multimedia Application Layer Hollywood 2.5. Thus,
Hollywood 2.5 is strictly required for Hollywood Designer 2.0. Both programs are available in a special bundle which is the ultimate package for every power Amiga user who wants to see what his system can do with Hollywood 2.5 & Hollywood Designer 2.0.

Power up your Amiga system with Hollywood 2.5 & Hollywood Designer 2.0. Order now!

More infos at the Airsoft Softwair web page.

Any demos available? Perhaps full program, but without any save functionality (as long as full quality previews are possible)? It certainly sounds real nice.

Taken from the website:
"Unfortunately there is no demo version available for download. The reason for this is that all the demo versions of my other programs were cracked and I do not want this to happen with Hollywood, too. So there will be only screenshots available to demonstrate how powerful Hollywood is. Thanks for your understanding."

However, except the screenshots, a stand-alone executable presentations would be even better as a demonstration of the Holywood features, IMHO...

@AmiKit
I honestly don't see how someone could "crack" a demo version, if the save functionality was not compiled into the executable... Anyway, I would not be surprised if the full version of Hollywood 2 can already be downloaded from a P2P system, so who needs to worry about cracking a demo version?!? (Note, I do not suggest pirating s/w, especially not Amiga s/w.)

I've downloaded via dial-up. iBrowse handled the log-on stuff
but AWeb did not.
