Software News   Software News : Update of X11-package Cygnix
posted by CygnusEd on 15-Apr-2007 5:54:39 (1911 reads)
Unfortunalety there was a bug in my latest update of Cygnix pre3.
The shell command "xscreen2front" could freeze your system under
certain circumstances. This is now fixed. A revised archive is now
available on OS4-depot:

Download here: http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=network/misc/x11-update.lha

Please reinstall the update or copy the command into the corresponding
Cygnix directory by hand.

Thanks for this prompt fix, and thank you for all your work on this project and related matters.

This whole side of things is looking really good to me (Linux apps without Linux - this I like very much).

If there was a way to launch these apps into windows or screens with out the Linux desktop, and cd the apps into Amiga directories - this would be a nice feature.

I was having a shutdown problem with X11 desktop, everything went, but the screen itself, and after that nothing launched until I rebooted.

Pleas keep up this excellent and timely project.
