USA courts stated that Novell owns all copyrights of UNIX and UNIXware, and that SCO could not claim anymore that UNIX belongs to them.

I've been reading some of the details at http://www.betanews.com/article/Judge_Novell_Not_SCO_Owns_UNIX_Copyrights/1186786426. There are some interesting paralells to the Amiga / Hyperion case.

SCO was also being funded by MS, so they had it covered either way it seems. I would put my hope in the courts preventing MS from absorbing Unix as it would be viewed as more of an MS monopoly.

There's something seriously wrong with the civil court system when a plaintiff can bring a lawsuit against someone and can delay showing any evidence of wrongdoing for over 4 years -- I'm referring to the SCO vs IBM case. The ruling in Novell's favor means that SCO's days are numbered. Before the end of September, the Courts will probably rule against SCO and in favor of IBM. I fail to understand why the SEC does not investigate SCO for stock manipulation as well.
