Software News   Software News : New Version of Push4Dock
posted by Mason on 3-Oct-2007 16:54:26 (2088 reads)
Push4Dock is a start menu environment based on AmiDock for AmigaOS4.
Since this release Push4Dock is themeable and there are many themes available.

Push4Dock requires the PNG icon plugin and OS4Reboot to work.

For further information and a preview please visit the new Push4Dock section of the masonicons website or read the documentation.

Very nice work indeed, but it seems to be quite buggy.

I use a screenmode of 1600x1200 which causes the bar to only take up about 4/5 of the screen rather than use up the full width.

Also clicking on any of the buttons causes the the window to open up in inappropriate positions on the screen. They open up too high which I assume is down to the assumption that I am using a 1280x1024 screenmode.

If I change my screenmode to 1280x1024 I no longer have the above problems.

One more problem I encountered was when I double-clicked on the bar it comes in front of the middle set of icons causing only their top halves to be visible.

Apart from those problems, it does look sweet!

Kind regards,

Francis.

Wow, looks great.

Can this be use to just 'update' the previous Push4 Amidock installation?

I have several Dock categories, and I had to re-do my Amidock when I previouisly installed Push4.
