Software News   Software News : New Minimig core files
   posted by m3x on 28-Apr-2008 14:59:21 (2280 reads)
Bassano del Grappa (Italy) 27 April 2008: ACube Systems is happy to announce the immediate availability of a new Minimig core and PIC firmware.

This update allows all Minimig owners to use new ROMS. Amiga Forever encrypted ROMs are now fully supported and 256KB ROMs can be used too.

Thanks again to Dennis van Weeren for his hard work that will make all retro Amiga users happy.

The updated files are available on the Minimig page.

Wake me up when adf write support and emulation support for multiple drives is added

More seriously it’s nice to see progress being made on a product that looks like it has the potential to develop into a replacement for our ageing classic Amigas.

Keep up the good work.

Because they are licensed to be used only with Cloantos Amiga Forever package. They require a keyfile found within the software CD in order to be used in WinUAE (or it's derivatives).

It was designed to stop the average piracy of the ROM files since without the key necessary to decrypt them, they are (effectively) useless.
