| blacky boy! some years ago it was a dream to even have vice running under amiga os, today you spoil us with official updates for our tiny platform, and you put up with spot's neverending flow of stupid questions on irc, so here it is, all my love goes out to both blacky / stardust and angel / stardust, you both are one of a kind! :) _________________ AOS4 Betatester, Peg2, G4@1ghz, Radeon 9250 256mb, 1gb RAM.

| HI! I've noticed that here snapshots saving wont work...When loading I got corrupted data... And cant load/save more than one per session...if try to load/save a second I got a weird(an incompresible requester with path repeatd...) error...
Any idea? _________________ Simone"Tuxedo"Monsignori, Perugia, ITALY.

| I've been spending way too much time lately playing M.U.L.E. on VICE. It's still one of my favorite games ever. I've always been interested in economics and this game has everything. I have yet to see exact copy in a .d64 file. The cracked copies available don't load like the original. _________________ X5000 / microA1(OS4.1 FE U2) / CodeBench / Imagine / Blender Lightwave 2019 / Microsoft Visual C++

| I have tried at least Gridrunner, but I assume the other games might have the same problem.
The problem is with the memory configuration, Gridrunner will only run on an unexpanded vic20, and the default for xvic is to have all memory blocks on.
To get the game(s) to work you need to switch all memory blocks off, you can do this by going to the settings menu, then choose VIC settings.
A dialog window will pop up, set all memory blocks to disabled and click OK.
Then have xvic do a hard reset, to get it into the new memory configuration.
Then load the game and it should work.
I hope this information helps you out. |
