| Cool.
Also, off-topic, but I installed AISS for OS3.x but i'm not sure if any OS3.x apps support it...
Which ones will work w/ it? _________________ A1200, 68060/64MB/1.2GB/WiFi/AGAtoCRT/OS3.9 Pegasos I, G3 600Mhz/512/9200SE/80GB WinUAE, Ryzen 5 2400G/Vega11, 8GB DDR4, 256GB SSD,Win 10 Pro x64 Amiga Forever !

| I had a problem updating my AISS using AmiUpdate. A message said that images/#? could not be found!
I updated it manually.
Thanks, Firbodi _________________ MicroA1 G3, 512MB RAM, DVD-RW; and A1-SE G3,512MB RAM, CD-RW & DVD-ROM Avatar: Perspolis, Capital of Achaemenid Empire 500 B.C.

| I was thinking about using it for HD-Rec and other apps.
But many audio related images are missing.
Anyway, I would like to see scalable Icons, I think they are quite small. If the author of AISS reads this, I could offer a nice GUI-optimized scaling algorithm that doesn't blur details in GUI Elements. I think 32x32 or 64x64 would be nice, scaled down to the user preferences. When I see the images, I think they are painted in higher res anyway and scaled down in a GFX program. _________________ -- Author of HD-Rec, Sweeper, Samplemanager, ArTKanoid, Monkeyscript, Toadies, AsteroidsTR, TuiTED, PosTED, TKPlayer, AudioConverter, ScreenCam, PerlinFX, MapEdit, AB3 Includes and many more... Am I right that this is just an image collection, there is no code to access the images? _________________ -- Author of HD-Rec, Sweeper, Samplemanager, ArTKanoid, Monkeyscript, Toadies, AsteroidsTR, TuiTED, PosTED, TKPlayer, AudioConverter, ScreenCam, PerlinFX, MapEdit, AB3 Includes and many more... | @Wanderer
I know that the "sound-part" of AISS is very limited as I have not much experiences with this kind of software. If you need any new images please just send me a list via mail with some descritions!

| Oh, hi Mason, you read this!
So what do you think about providing the images larger and scaling them down?
I dont know if I understood the concept of AISS right. I thought it is a way to access those images, but further reading suggests me that it is "just" a huge collection of images, well sorted of course.
Then there is no possibilty of adding scaling code, but still different sizes could be offered. (I personally find them rather small) But what about a small tool generating different sizes during installation?
How large do you paint those images?
You can have a look at the imageconverter http://www.hd-rec.de/Archive/ImageConverter.lha
It can batch process scaling and has the algo implemented I am taling about. So you could also generate it offline. _________________ -- Author of HD-Rec, Sweeper, Samplemanager, ArTKanoid, Monkeyscript, Toadies, AsteroidsTR, TuiTED, PosTED, TKPlayer, AudioConverter, ScreenCam, PerlinFX, MapEdit, AB3 Includes and many more... | Hi Wanderer,
Quote:

I thought about it, but after several tests I came to the conclusion that they look better if they where painted in the right size. The images look very blured and the details where not good recogniseable.
But maybe I need some more experiences

AISS is something more... it merges two directories into one big pool of images. If you want to support AISS just put your images into the "contrib" drawer. That will also make it easier to support special images like the bigger ones you like. (eg. put your images in the contrib drawer with the prefix "hdrec_#?".) They will not be part of the AISS distribution, but they will be accessed via AISS.

The standard AISS size is 24x24 pixels, but I would say not bigger than the max. icon size of 256x256 pixels.
If your intrested, I will have a look at the HDRec images first and see what is missing.
