Miscellaneous News   Miscellaneous News : New Year's drink in Groningen, Netherlands
posted by OldFart on 15-Dec-2008 21:05:17 (2993 reads)
Hey, let's have a New Year's drink in Groningen and toast to the future of Amiga (the OS, not some company of a similar name!) as a source of inspiration.

Date : Thursday, January 8, 2009
Time : 20.00 hour
Venue: Huize "De Beurs"

Ehm, Dutch party, so everyone pays her own consumptions.

Pass this one to everyone you know and might be positivly interested in the future of Amiga (the OS, not some company of a similar name!).

@ AmigaClyde

I'd like to drink to this also, but why is this posted as a news item?

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

@Moxee

Maybe this is the biggest Amiga event in the Nethelands in years.
I wish we could have one here in eastern Canada, the last one was
4 years ago in Ottawa, where I purchased my beloved A1 at the
OAS (Ottawa Amiga Show).

Lord, I hope not.

If you want a drink feast just throw out invitations. If you want a show, start organizing. A night in a tavern is simple to do, but a show is hard work.

Did you know I had one of my first and heaviest drunks(?) in Groningen about 16 years ago?

Care to relive ol'times, sir? You're welcome!

EDIT: I always wondered what your avatar was about. Now it makes a bit sense, yes!

@ OldFart

I wish this was close by so I could come and meet the bunch of you and offer up a round or two.

Be careful in traveling if you are having the 34 degrees below freezing weather like we are here.
