That was informative, the coupon situation seems a little clearer now too. (that should keep some people happy)

I agree.

Fleecy put across some good possible solutions for the coupon "fiasco" (as some would call it).

The rest of the Q & A was, as usual, informative.

I'm especially pleased that the Radeon 8500 I took a chance on buying WILL have drivers for it !!

Now lets see how "they" tear this to bits on Ann & A.org !!

>Fleecy: We have always targeted it for AmigaOS4.2. Given that we want to have a release gap of between 6-12 months once AmigaOS4.0 has shipped, that should be around about Christmas 2004

Hmm.. someone has won the jackpot in lottery.. if the company is alive in xmas 2004 I will buy the best bottle of champagne and pop it open on 24.12.2004

At least coupon-issue has some clearance.. that is good. Before xmas 2003 I hope?

If 6-12 months from OS4 shipping is Xmas 2004, does that mean that we could still be a year away from OS4 release?

Only joking!

Good and informative answers. Some interesting tidbits I
didn't know. Also good to hear AInc have given thought as
to how the coupon scheme will be handled. About time. But,
pray tell, what is an AmiPASS?

The question concerning networking of the Amiga raises a
very good issue - linking to other computers and their
resources. Having the possibility to seamlessly print/scan
etc via the Linux/Windows box would be gold worth for me
(as long as drivers for AOS4 is in scarce supply). Let's
hope this come into fruitition big time - and is easy to
setup.

I really want to see this "Amiga Power platform" website
with the fabled AOS4 hardware "certified" compatability
list. But it sure seems like a sure bet to get a Radeon9000
(or -9100 if I recall correctly?) at least.

AMIPASS is you little access to the CAM and other things on the AINC website.

You needed to sign up in the first place to spend the $50 and that is the info you need to keep updated.

Just go to any of the subsites of amiga.com and login

I posted it as "Unmoderated". (whatever the hell that means)

My Posting on A.Org went the way of the DoDo as well ...
Just as well SlimJim reposted.... Wonder how long that will last though.

Might be best not to bother posting to ANN or A.org
If they feel that way about it, let them come here, they know it's weekly and they know where to Look.

####.......I'm tired of this nonsense from Fleccy. Why don't he answer the question about their website. Everybody is talking about it.

And all the fuss about a new amiga power site.........well they should do something about the current site instead. They look like a bunch of amateurs with that site!

@Hondo_DK

Calm down, you sound like a mad football supporter with a beer in one hand and a bat in the other.

If you don't like the Q&A, then don't read it.
