| Nice but:
That's something you have for months by purchasing a customized Sam440 system from Vesalia... without any extra costs. So nothing really special or? ;) _________________ Sam440ep & AmigaOS4.1 @ Morex 3677 case --- (DaFreak of Liquid Skies & Moods Plateau)

| Nice offer That Vesalia had this for months doesn't make it worse. Dunno about the usual service from Vesalia (have only done business with them many years ago) but they didn't reply to my email 3 weeks ago and missed my SAM system order _________________

I think it largely depends on who you trust.
I've personally met Matt (the owner) and a couple of his employees at AmiWest in Sacramento. I now know he is a solid businessman and won't compromise on customer service to shave a buck or two off the price. He also supports my Amiga community by sponsoring the AmiWest show which is not something dealers do unless they are sure of themselves. In a nutshell, I trust the guy.
Feel free to buy from Vesalia or any other dealer you feel comfortable with but I'm sticking to AmigaKit because I know the systems will work first try or Matt will fix it. That's what makes this deal special to me. _________________ ExecSG Team Lead

Yes, I've been waiting for the back plate and for any DVI->VGA issues to be resolved. I have access to a number or LCD monitors without DVI input and don't want to add the price of a new monitor to the cost of a SAM system. Is it true that you need the back plate to plug in a mic for recording sound?? I would like to take advantage of an offer like this but want to be sure SAM is going to work properly for me before purchasing. _________________ X1000 with 2GB memory & OS4.1FE

| @Kicko I'd bet that there will NEVER be a 2GHz PPC Amiga. If you want GHz or Firefox, you can get Windows/Linux boxes quite cheap. OTOH, if you want Amiga experience, then in general Sam440 does that quite nicely... Last edited by ChrisH on 19-Mar-2009 at 07:18 PM.

Does RiscOS also have plenty of naysayers saying that "it can't be done"? Having said that, we are short on developers, so a project this size isn't easy to get done.
@amigakit
It's good to see you offering full systems instead of just motherboards. It's a pity that there's no-one doing that in my part of the world. The cost of shipping a whole system from the UK to NZ is pretty high. Having said that, I'm not thinking of buying a SAM at the moment, so it doesn't make much of a difference; plus, I've put together enough machines to know how it's done.
