That's a nice offer.

Now...what happened to Shark and Dragon? I do believe 'AmigaOS4 has been released' now..is Elbox ever going to address that, or.. ?

Inquiring minds would like to know, if you haven't seen this:

I doubt either parties have interest on OS4 port.

IMO: Elbox has the competence to build stand alone PPC SoC motherboards, but perhaps they think they make more money with Classic stuff???

What PPC products Elbox has completed so far? What standalone motherboards Elbox has completed so far? I dont know any. They only produce ten years old bus boards for Amiga.

Why, did you seriously ever believe the IDE and MPEG decoder drivers would be released? I did when they were announced but it's been 8 years since then.

And before you tell me to interview them, Elbox has considered me to be their enemy for years now, just because I've done the crime of questioning them.

Becouse it is Amiga world.
I belive that Eyetech with Predator AGP board will be topshot and that DCE will produce PPC card for G REX...
Predator never go to production, DCE go away after G REX...
I belived that OS4 will be ported on Mac but no way in Pegs...
7 years mediator work only with Voodoo and Virge cards. Do you belive in january last year that they will suport Radeon?

Elbox have enemys, you have enemys...but what I want to know will they produce some new hardware/software for classics and suport OS4 with new PPC hardware?

Are they enemy with whole Aworld staff or with you?
You dont have to do with them nothing personaly?

Here is another good question- what this is- all this conflicts between elbox and some persons?
We seen on Hyperion update of OS4 that they suported last hardware from them Mediator TX. How come that they allways cooperated with elbox?

That is what comunnity want to know? Put personal things on side for now?

@Comi

Probably better to ask Amiga Future to approach Elbox about a possible interview. Most the mods round here seem to have a negative attitude towards Elbox for whatever reasons.

@Comi

It's just me personally, I can't talk about the rest of the staff. On the other hand, no-one is stopping you or anyone else from contributing by making up a list of questions for them and we could send them over to them to have them answered. Most of us are extremely busy at the moment, hence why we've added more staff, I myself had been on self-exile from the site for a year, so that I could direct my energies elsewhere and though I'm back now I still don't have enough time nor will I until I finally finish my degree in the summer.

@ Rob

That is wrong aproach for both sides.
Negative attitude???

Most of classics are besed on their pci boards expnsions.
Doubt that Amiga Future will do that. They have one interview long ago 7or 8 years but they are not interested...something like staff of amigaworld...they sad that will try but time was pass since that promise and no response or news what happend...
Lack of motivation, communication, personal attacks...such a shame
All we do is waiting something to happend. Forget this.... Pointless...

No I will not do that, since there is no good will in the staff of site, or time or any other reasons , why should any of members do that?
Elbox is biggest task, only that, for their lack of communication, no puplic or forum apearing and confrotation with some people.

Questions are here on every forum thread for Elbox, for Hyperion and for the rest of Amiga companies hardware or software .
It is work to collect and send abbout 30 min for every company.. Problem is to contact them and get positive answer that they will do that interview. For that is need to have good will from both sides, some credit and trust.

Because it's something you want done, basically? It's not as if we're profiting from working on AW.net, we're doing it for good will reasons, we're not any different than you in any way other than the extra responsibilities. So, to sum it up, we'd spend time on it, we wouldn't profit but it'd be rather cool. You'd spend time on it, wouldn't profit but it'd be cool and you'd get your answers. So, if you need our help to do it, you'll get it.

That´not true. As I do the interviews for Amiga Future since years: I have tried at least two times to get an interview from Elbox, but they did not even answer.

But anyway: I will try it again and will let you know here, if they will do an interview with us.

And if someone collect questions then we need communication chanel with them, and that is hardest thing.. Since staff have only just,a little bit more good will basically you have to collect them, but it is not problem for me and couple of people to collect. I will say rather our answer instead of mine or your.
Biggest help from A.world is contact with Elbox and any other company.
So contact Elbox and no wory for questions.
Next is Genesi then Troika, NATAMI...Individual comp.

I imgine this site like magazine , news sites, not like site with endless threads...

I have already emailed Elbox for an AmigaFuture-interview. Let´s see if they will answer this time.

The main-problem is: You can´t force someone to do an interview. I they prefer to stay silent (which is a bad idea), than it´s their decision.

OK, if you tried then that is their(Elbox) fault. My apologys to you.
Take a step to contact Troika or Genesi...or someone who is willing to share some news with community!

Thay read this for sure so maybe they will re think again about that!
-So Elbox, your move!

Yeah, infact I was the one who made interview with them 7 years ago. It was published at Turkish amiga users site "AmigART.com". Unfortunately It is deleted, because of website gone with the same reasons that Amiga world allways have.

But I found in the Web Archive.org records, if someone wants to read it here is the link

@Comi

You could always ask them your questions directly. Why wait for someone to do an interview? In my experience, they respond to three types of emails: 1. registration requests (for software updates); 2. developer requests (for a copy of their NDA); 3. anything they see as threatening. I haven't received a response to any other kind of email, including support requests.

My guess is that Elbox knows they do better financially when they keep quiet, lest we all remember the various "issues" we've had with them over the years.

(Re: SharkPPC, we all know it was probably a rebadged Sonnet Crescendo, and they're no longer being produced. Looks like Sonnet has a limited supply of G4 cards, though, if anyone has an old Power Mac that needs to be updated.)
