| Ahhhhh, VERY useful. I've managed to set my JabberWocky client up properly myself, but I must say it wasn't easy before I figured out how it all worked. Took me quite some time of fiddling about to get to grips with it. Once you KNOW how it works it's very simple to use, but it would have been much easier had I had access to a well written guide.
I'll pop over and take a look at that now

| Hmmm... It took me all of 5 minutes to get Jabberwocky going a couple years back. Didn't realize it was supposed to be hard. Of course, I've been using jabber clients for 3 years and already had an account at myjabber.net.
Also, I'd highly recommend using it for Yahoo, ICQ, or AIM before you use M$N. Remember, you have to sign your life to M$ and create a passport account to use M$N. _________________ Lord Steven http://www.zcrew.org ----===============---- To Strive, To Seek, To Find, and Not to Yield

| The computer world has a diversity of users in it. Some find things easy to get to grips with, others don't. In fact I would say that there is a sizable percentage of Amiga owners that need support on a range of topics- you only have to see the amount of emails we get from Amigan users needing help to realise that.
That is why we feel it's important to provide tutorials such as the Jabberwocky one. |

| It can be quite easy to comment how simple something is to use when you already know how to use it - I would agree that Jabberwocky IS simple to use once you've figured out how everything is supposed to be set up.
The biggest confusion for me was regarding adding contacts. The documentation I had at the time didn't explain how to add an MSN user to the contact list properly, and it left me scratching my head for a bit. I now know that to add an MSN user who's using a hotmail account you simply add them as JoeBloggs%hotmail.com@msn.jabber.cz (or whatever jabber server you've signed with) but I think it's fair to say that it's not immediately obvious how to do that if you don't already know. In that case, it's useful to be able to refer to a guide :) |
