WHY SHOULD I READ THIS? I CAN'T CODE!

Well, the sad fact is that, neither can I! :) I am just a stubborn geezer!
And look at me now... 600+ uploads to http://os4depot.net compiling
multiplatform stuff for AmigaOS 4.0 isn't THAT hard, c'mon! If I can do it,
you can do it too! You'll jump up and down screaming when you manage to
compile your first SDL app, I did! To my defence I have to say that I had
to figure out a lot of the process the hard way! :P

Spot's Porting for Dummies Quick Help

Commands

csdl Configure a SDL project for newlib.
csdlnolib Configure a SDL project for newlib, no libs. (If the above fails).

clibrary Configure a library.
colibrary Configure a library, with an old incompatible configure script.

msdlg++ Compile all .cpp files in the current dir for (SDL).
lsdlg++ Link all .o files in the current dir (SDL).

msdlgcc Compile all .c files in the current dir for (SDL).
lsdlgcc Link all .o files in the current dir (SDL).

maleg++ Compile all .cpp files in the current dir (Allegro).
malegcc Compile all .cpp files in the current dir (Allegro).
laleg++ Link all C++ .o files in the current dir (Allegro).
lalegcc Link all C .o files in the current dir (Allegro).

dummy Prints Spot's Porting for Dummies
dummyhelp Prints this help
sdllibs Prints the correct order of the SDL linklibs.
sdlpaths Prints the SDL paths.

Your announcement last week of the lite version made me order a Sam Flex, to get started porting. And now yout guide comes with scripts... i can't wait to the Sam arrives.

This will surely ease the pain when porting a program seemingly takes longer than if we wrote it ourself.
