Bernd Roesch has updated Ixemul (Version 61.1 now available) and the SDL link libs (version 1.2.13 Rev#2) - also, Michel Bagmeijer updated Shorten to version 3.6.1 and submitted a new LAME 3.98.2 (since our previous port seems to have issues.)

I'd love to have that lame version for OS4/WOS or MOS... 68K version is only worth using on emulated 68K... no way I'm gonna use it on my 68K Amiga.

Cheers,

Dragster

just tried out ffmpeg port with the new ixemul. working great on original hardware!! noticed update of sdl too. thanks bernd!!! but what about this insane version number hopping? it seems piru and others have talked you into this, but 68k is not mos or os4 anyway, are you sure it is necessary? it looks a little bit rediculous.

No, piru asked to rename ixemul instead of 'version number hopping' I hope bernd stays with one version number for the next year (or 2, or 3).

yes and i suggest to increase lib num to 61, thats same effect that programs that need new features on MOS or OS4 not crash and is not much work.

maybe somebody have the link to old ffmpeg news.I explain the code and he can see that it is 100% compatible for old programs.

then no response from him, so i assume now it is clear for him that i do that in compable way.
I also write him a PM at amiga.org he should write what he think.but no response from him.
