Of course!
I have a question also, LOL
Q: Have we sold a million new Amiga units yet?
Q: How many classic Amiga's were sold in total since the beginning till now?

That's 2 questions

If AmigaOS actually ran on some of these Lime machines, they might be interesting. Without AOS, they are probably not going to replace my eee netbooks - at least I can more or less guarantee full Linux support on those.

Huh? I dont get it. How is this news item worthy ? Its basically some guy trying to sell stuff at extortionate prices. $53 USD for 512meg ddr,.. come on, gimme a break. Also, wtf,... "a million new Amiga units" ? If I was younger Id be trying to get my drugs from your supplier. While the exact numbers is probably only known by a few, it'd be more like a thousand (maybe 2).

Amiga MiniMig
Amiga MiniMig - Enclosure
Amiga MiniMig - Crystal Case
Amiga OS4
Amiga SAM Flex

As well as the new PPC NoteBooks and PPC TV and PPC X1's etc...
Even Intel ATOM is being sold, there with LimeOS Linux or Windows, so no favoritism there.

As far as suppliers, they are the well know Amiga suppliers and for others LimePC

I don't get why he's pushing the LimePC so hard on an Amiga website.

@jahc
More supportive of this PPC, because it's FreeScale PPC design.
I've even bought GateWay products, just to support the previous Amiga owners.

BTW - Did you see the big TV's, they have a FreeScale PPC chip inside, just like the LimeBook does.

Offering Amiga and LimePC related products

I remember a few motherboards that never had AmigaOS running on them, and they were being pushed as Amiga Motherboards.

Curious...what boards are you referring to in particular?

You really shouldn't be telling potential customers that because somebody else did something illegal it is OK for you to do so. Trust is something new businesses don't have when they start up and this is not a good way to start...

@ssolie

True, its not good to repeat mistakes of the past.

Besides as far as I know, there is no money to port AmigaOS4.x to LimePC...
I won't speculate beyond that.

MiniMig and AmigaOS4 and SamFlex are in stock, so for Amiga people not interested in other PPC technology right now, that's for them to decide.

In 6-12-18 months if Lime PPC product sales are large enough then hey, presto, Hyperion could be then convinced there's a market, once it exists. Even then they might not have time or money for these products.

the GOOD thing about a chip like the mpc5121e is that once (I mean if) OS4 is ported to a board with that CPU then there's roughly ZERO extra work to make it run on all the other boards.

As long as the bootloader is set up properly and exports a sensible board description to the OS. This is done with the use of a board descriptor file in Linux, that is put in bootflash. I guess in OS4 it's done differently.

But as long as the bootloader initialises all the clocks and IO pins, OS4 should run pretty much unchanged from one 5121 system to the next.

So here's crossing our fingers that OS4 eventually comes to a 5121 platform

oh and btw: to anyone wanting an amiga laptop:
the limebook is a ppc laptop (albeit tiny).
So lets see a bounty for hyperion to support the 5121e. wouldn't that be neat? I'll chip in 200 USD. as long as I don't need to organise anything

I have the ADS5121 on my desk here, btw

@all who shouts spam...
I have seen plenty of news items about other dealers selling amiga stuff, so what is the difference? This guy does at least also sell some amiga stuff like the acube sam+os4.1.

If you looked at his items then you would see that he also is selling acube boards with OS 4.1.
Or is that not Amiga enough for you then either? Then we better ban such news items by other dealers who dont sell classic amiga hardware.

Are you an authorized reseller? You are not listed on Acube's reseller page FYI:
