BTW, there are two knows problems (reported under MOS):

1) The final toolbar image is not properly "rendered" there, dunno why exactly..

2) The about window is created with scrollbars while the Listview's object is specifically created to avoid using them (MUI issue?)

What i can guarantee is that those issues does not happen under OS3.

It seems it does not draw alpha channel properly. The problem is probably in guigfx.mcc or guigfx.library.

@itix:

GuiGfx is used to display the preview images only (there is indeed a problem making the alpha channel transparent), but the problem i am referring to is at final toolbar creation step, where only datatypes is used. i could send you the sourcecode if you want to check something

Send me source code and I check it out Regarding listview scroller problem, I think MUI4 provides scrollbar always by default and you can not change it. I have to verify this but this is probably case with MorphOS.

Implement at least 20% of MUI functionality in ReAction, then we can talk...

@diegocr: thank to the fix it opens now correctly on my 3.x. thanks a lot! i didnt tried it out yet but am quite eager to do it.
btw, 2 comments:
1. alpha is not being rendered, thats true, but well, it might be treated as a cosmetic issue.
2. since im using afa, i tried to promote it to zune, but even with a stack upped to 30000 it still gives back hits. i can send you my sashimi log if you are interested in.

edit: i just recalled: zune apparently doesnt support drag and drop. so dont bother. it would not work anyway. same applies to reaction afair. loading previews takes quite a while on classic anyways, wouldnt it be possible to cache them somehow, i cant think of how, though.

I think most popular apps uses mui and works on most amigasystems.
Do you come from the future where Reaction is the most used amiga GUI ?

I don´t like MUI from the first days because it was not part of the amiga os and the user must download and install custom classes by their own. Thats not user-friendldy.

On the other hand MUI offers some good ideas and functions like customation of each App and many ways to change the whole GUI.

There are two possible ways to get something userfriendly:

first idea:
Enhance ReAction

second idea:
Build a global MUI-Installation with all custom classes needed

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

@wawa:

hmm, i may could try to replace the d&d functionality by single guigfx-buttons (but you'll lose the ability to drop the images at any position of the toolbar), or even i could try to compile an Aros build...sometime/someday when feeling bored

Edit: with "replace" I mean a tooltype to select which method to use.

@diegocr: really, i wouldnt bother. its fine like it is. btw. i just realized i m using drag and drop in yam under zune when i move attachments to folders, i really wonder now, how comes?!

shifting images in toolbar could be more important to fix, at the moment dragging them along the bar clones the items.

@wawa:

don't worry, if I try to compile an Aros build, it'll be for my own benefit (to learn how to build mui/zune progs there)

This isn't a bug, it's just that it wasn't implemented the way you mention, "whatever" object you drop over the toolbar-space gets automatically added...
