@amigakit

I thought the 800MHz versions were discontinued ? So where did these boards come from?

I'd want one, if I didn't have a working A1.....

IMO it's the best Amiga system you can buy at the moment.

Go get 'em guys....

You can say that again! I have nothing against PCs or Windows, they both worked well for me - I just felt bored with them. So one evening I saw a nice pre-assembled SAM system at Vesalia and I said, damn it, I gotta have it! Now I'm really enjoying it, despite not having "all the big apps" - the fun is back!

@AmigaKit

One of our Amiga Club members is considering a SAMiga because it is a complete, ready to go, computer + OS... Just add your favorite apps.

However, he asked me, who has never owned or used an LCD screen for enough time to know its quirks, what LCD monitor he should get.

So, please, name a few (one or more).

Would be interesting to see if the enthusiasm lasted after you got the hardwares.

And if it lasts for you, what is the secret formula you use?

Please post a follow up. Thanks!

Wow, i guess that was fast! 800Mhz is back again! Has this one also the faster 147Mhz RAM Bus as the 733Mhz?

@cv643d

Isn't the enthusiasm supposed go up after, especially when you can run AmigaOS 4?

Seriously, I would appreciate if you don't negatively feed my mixed feeling of excitement and nervousness about this purchase. I haven't even got the darn thing yet... :-/

..well all of my classic Amigas have been and still are fun and I'm pretty sure Sam and OS4.1 will follow that trend

Almost three months after I got my SAM, and the enthusiasm is still there. Without a secret formula.
