A new update for Icaros Desktop is available for download. This small update (7-zip packed CD is only 36 MB big) fixes some issues encountered with recent SDL/MESA libraries, increases system stability and refreshes AROS files and utilities to september 9th nightly build. Great work! I'll try the update tonight.

What's with all the hostile OS4 fanatism? Don't you people realize that having an open source Amiga-like OS benefits the entire Amiga community? (AfA OS for classics, backports for OS4/MOS etc.)

Even the Poseidon bounty seemed to have no effect on the Amiga community.
I always heard how great Poseidon was, and how everyone wished it was available for OS4.

Thanks to the AROS bounty it's now open-source, and benefits any amiga like OS development! But, still, AROS continues to be looked as a threat or a nuisance to SOME of the AmigaOS4 community.

I wouldn't be so pessimistic. In any community you will find different point of views and you will always find someone against AROS, MOS or AmigaOS 4.x. Open hostility and pointless sarcastic comments, though, generally speak for themselves and give - unlucklily - an idea about the people who wrote them. Just ignore or answer politely.

Some Amigans are so accustomed to companies throwing words at the wind, that they even refuse to accept a project born in the Amiga community itself. But, as I always said, just complaining is pointless, I prefer people who tries to do something instead.
