I haven't followed those threads, but BOH is not a generic application: it's a game that interacts with the OS only minimally, so it hardly is a good example in the context you're talking about. _________________ RETREAM - retro dreams for Amiga, Commodore 64 and PC

| @Saimo So, then solution for the game developers to use SDL or whatever else you use :) I only pointed that apps can be done for all the amiga/like oses with no problems. For example i am for 'vague' diskmag use warp3d, ahi, ptplay.libraryes, intuition, gadgets, etc. And that all works on all platfroms. Jahc's examples are good too (sabre, wookie). And your game, still, show to developers the same example (generall one) Last edited by kas1e on 12-Oct-2009 at 12:34 PM.

Ah, sure, all software can be made portable. The point is how much it costs: since BOH interacts little with the OS, it's easier than porting other kinds of applications (of course, BOH has been written to be portable right from the start, which makes things a lot easier) - this is all I wanted to say.

| @saimo Related to morphos version: i know you don't have mos machine, etc. But what about making morphos version by vbcc (quite easy), and then give for ppls to try ? (i can test everythink what you need on my mos2.3/peg2). Imho you will only need setup vbcc, and just do vc +morphos game_files_blablal. I before making os4/mos utils with having by hands only os3. OF course it's a bit suck that you can't test it himself after compiling, but, still, one more version and support of all amiga like oses :) _________________ Join us to improve dopus5! zerohero's mirror of os4/os3 crosscompiler suites

I'm setting it up to get it to compile my own framework. I'm not promising anything. I'll keep you posted. EDIT: sorry, forget it: way too many headaches.
