| Cool. Now is it safe to upgrade to it? I don't want to update again and find it doesn't work properly so forced to backgrade again. |

Avatars are sent using the file transfer protocol, except it's just done automatically. Isn't hard to implement once file transfers are complete. I'd expect the updates to be quicker than this last one (note: I can't talk for jahc.. this is just personal opinion). Last edited by MickJT on 01-Dec-2009 at 01:27 PM.

| Long waiting :) Just installed and time to do some filesending :) Thanks both Jahc and Mick.
I tested it some and it works both sending and receiving with 2 msn friends on windows. Reaaaaaaaly slow filetransfer but thats as it goes thru a switchboard. But the good thing it works sending/receiving. Last edited by Kicko on 01-Dec-2009 at 10:05 PM.

Of course not. It's never safe. :) Seriously, the software is often seeing major changes.. thats why I keep the old versions on my site. |

| Just spent a couple hours research. The websites that used to have information on Direct Connections don't exist anymore, and the Wayback machine hasn't archive the pages I needed.
I'm pretty sure i've reverse engineered it all.. Sometime in the next week when I have a few hours to myself, i'll try to stick direct transfers in AmiMSN.
WLM uses uPnP which we don't have (perhaps there's some uPnP client I can compile?). So that means manual port forwarding for us. |

| MickJT: I think there is some command line tool for uPnP on os4depot today. Nice to hear you are going to implement direct transfers :) |

Hasn't this happened before.. Can't remember. Whether there was another time you point something out, and it's something I put there.
I compiled that uPnP client and uploaded it. You only had to read the .readme :) |
