| Just to be clear, the main Janus-UAE emulator for the workbench 3.1 does not have sound but the older version we use for games and demos does. _________________ Amiga 1000, 3000D Toaster, Checkmate A1500 Plus http://www.checkmate1500plus.com/

| Cool! Is the 3.1 inclusion courtesy of a license made possible thanks to the settlement? |

It is a silent "R"

| "R" also gets put in odd places in the southern US, as in "oil" pronounced as "oral." This reminds me of a story... I took my car to the garage. The mechanic said I needed to give it some "oil" (pronounced with the above-mentioned southern "r"). When I did, my wife saw me and yelled, "Get your lips off that thing!" _________________ I sold my SAM460ex lite... waiting for money to buy a Raspberry Pi... or a Classic A1000 with Buffee... or an A1222... and OS4.3 FE update 11

It's the other way around: in England, there's no 'R' sound at the end of 'car'. |

| Great news!
Steve, do you have list of supported netbooks?
Or at least a list of PCI product id's that are supported so that people can check support before purchase?
For example: my main PC uses GeForce 8200 chipset, but when I check lspci, it displays that the nvidia audio card is handled by "snd-hda-intel" driver. Maybe AROS driver would also work with chipsets other than Intel's? _________________ https://www.axrt.org

| @Deadwood
I hope to have this information in the next few days, but not all are going to be supported. I have paid for the framework and iMica, and I will pay for one or two netbooks, but that will be it until money roles in or others contribute.
From what I understand in some cases it will just be a productID to be added but in others there will be codecs needed which are more time consuming. The key thing is that it is easier for him to do if he has access to the hardware somteimes. _________________ Amiga 1000, 3000D Toaster, Checkmate A1500 Plus http://www.checkmate1500plus.com/

You say "eye-me-car", I say" imika", let's not call the whole thing off!

| I would pronounce it "eye-me-cah" or "eye-my-cah". No idea how you get it to end in a "car"! _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue...

| Is there any chance of Davy taking up this bounty too?
http://www.power2people.org/bounty_036.html
Maybe the small amount of money currently donated is not very attractive, but it would be very good for Icaros VE. If he shows any interest towards it I might consider a donation. |
