Awesome! Now if AROS had printer support and a decent office suite.....well, I'll just have to be patient.

I wonder if this would also help get nVidia drivers for OS4. You know what people say, "Yes, but does OS4 support my nVidia graphics card?"

@zevs

According to driver documentation chipsets embeded on motherboard (8300/9400) might not work currently. 8300 does not work for sure - I tested this.

I hear that a lot and I think it's bullcrap. People would buy the cards that are supported. Just like they do now with the supported Radeon cards.

on a pc i used to choose nvidia over radeon any day, whenever i got radeon i had to give it back mostly because of display glitches, and it was for few times already. maybe its for bad winows drivers, dunno. also i have a radon in my once high end lenovo notebook, where i had noch choice and it isnt any good. but well, for amiga things might be different.

we want nvidia and gallium support for the classic too!! lol.

Been on Radeons for the past 5 years with no problems. I was using nVidia cards before that, also with no problems.

@wawa

I purchased ASUS G1S (Santarosa) laptop with the infamous Geforce 8600M GT (G84M). After 18 months, it suffered a "black screen of death". ASUS replaced the laptop with G1SN (Santarosa refresh) model which includes Geforce 9500M GS. The problem with Geforce 9500M GS it's another "G84M" rename.

I have a bad experience with ASUS N81Vvn which includes Geforce 9650M GT 1GB i.e. issues with Windows 7 X64 (http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com) and DPC(refer to http://www.thesycon.de/deu/latency_check.shtml).

Another story. I have mainboard return rate stats for nForce vs Intel chipsets. The stats is not good for NVIDIA.

Later, I have purchased with Sony Vaio VGN-FW-45GJ (Centrino 2) laptop which includes ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4650 512MB GDDR3.

My work ASUS W3J laptop with ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 still works fine.

NVidia for me up to now. The Radeon in my previous laptop was crap. Up to now Radeon drivers for Linux have been crap.

All NVidia here and they are working beautifully. The 7950GTX in my M1710 laptop still works great also.

Let's see what the future holds.
