Today sees the release of update9, which: * adds secret missions, i.e. missions that remain hidden until one or more other missions are completed; * reworks hidden passages so that they follow the orientation of barriers and are / can be perfectly unified with them; * re-adds trembling to fixed lights; * improves video modes suggestions by indicating also the optimal zoom factors; * forces recalculation of global time also when 0:00; * retouches themes; * improves missions "getting started" and "unequal alternatives"; * fixes mission "watch your step!" (it had been left in a test/altered state); * fixes pits near barriers (in some cases they may have looked weird); * adds two new missions; * adds the latest expansions; * updates the manuals; * applies various other changes.
The update can be downloaded for free from the DOWNLOADS page of the official website. The demos have been updated to reflect the changes.
Please also note that, on this occasion, all the other update packages have been reworked: besides better installers/updaters, they now include also all the expansions, so that it is no longer necessary to install the latter manually.
About BOH
BOH is an original, retro-flavoured game of exploration and action. You move in claustrophobic, traps-packed, mind-boggling battlefields searching for the Evil Masters, who throw countless enemies at you until you discover and face them in the final battle. Although your quests are made slightly less hard by the bonuses and power-ups scattered all around, carrying out the missions demands lots of concentration and quick reflexes. With BOH the fun never ends: new missions can be added anytime and you can even create your own! And, as if that was not enough, you can also customize entirely its audio-visual aspect! BOH has been created with lots of passion and care to offer, with its old school style, a fascinatingly different video gaming experience.

| Enjoy, Amiga fellas!
EDIT: hey, Moxee, could you please fix "release to" with "release of"? Thanks in advance. Last edited by saimo on 26-Jan-2010 at 05:26 PM.

There's a long-ish story behind. Here's the Q/A from the interview on PPA:
Why such name? What does it really mean? Is it some kind of abbreviation? The ones I could find and in some way fit into the game are "Bad on Hand" or "Badge of Honor". Am I even close in deciphering it?
You got them right. Both! That's because "BOH" has only a meta-meaning and lends itself well to be used as a three-letter acronym. As I shortly mentioned in the manual, it is an Italian interjection that means "I don't know". I chose it on day 1 because it was impossible to find a meaningful name for the drawer where I stored the first products of the experimentation: the project was rather shapeless and I didn't have a clear idea of where I was heading to. Later, even when the project was clearly definite, I decided to leave it because themes have a great impact on the game's identity. And also because I thought it was kind of funny to let people unroll - like you and others already did - that acronym (now that I think of it, I should have taken note of those titles). For sure, it is definitely funny to answer fellow Italians who ask "What's your game name?".
If you're curious about "the experimentation", have a look at the interview (where there are lots of other details, too). _________________ RETREAM - retro dreams for Amiga, Commodore 64 and PC

| Thanks for the new (probably not the last!) update of this fine game.
Maybe a BOH 2? _________________

My pleasure! I don't know if it will be the last. Every time I release an update I say to myself it will be the last, but then new ideas come to mind...

Well, after 9 updates, 10 additional missions, 4 additional themes and 3 additional translations, we could already consider the current version a sort of BOH 2 _________________ RETREAM - retro dreams for Amiga, Commodore 64 and PC
