| It's nice to see new hardware still coming out for the classics, even now in 2010... I hope this is a successful product for you and rewards your loyalty.

| Can't see how it would do the Mediator much good - without some super fancy tricks, the Mediator itself only looks 8MB wide to the CPU, and as such won't be much good... Besides, how much memory do you need in your classic? I have 192MB in mine, but I've never even come close to using 128MB... _________________ RobTheNerd.com | InstallerGen | SMBMounter | Atoms-X

| Great news, but why only 128Mb. I would prefer 1 Gb ram

I would assume they mean 128MB as default and then you could expand it with SDRAM yourself up to whatever limit it has... _________________ - Don't get fooled by my avatar, I'm not like that (anymore, mostly... maybe only sometimes) > Amiga Classic and OS4 developer for OnyxSoft.

| You can add multiple cards to the system and build up a healthy chunk on memory if you wish.
If we added more memory to the card, it would require more RAM chips, more lines and a larger sized card which will lead to higher production costs.
We have to manufacture the cards in minimum quantity batches which is expensive, so the memory amount has to be aimed at the average amount the typical customer will want for the best price. _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS

| Does it work with the buggy buster?
It has SDRAM soldered on board. Is it possible to be expanded? What's the max? _________________ - KimmoK // For freedom, for honor, for AMIGA // // Thing that I should find more time for: CC64 - 64bit Community Computer?

| Yes, many months of hard work and research has been spent hunting down bug conflicts with Buster by Michael Bohmer.
We hope to offer an upgrade service for an extra 128MB to give 256MB per card. Last edited by amigakit on 21-Mar-2010 at 06:41 PM.

| Amiga companies are insane. In a good way.
The rest of the world "knows" Amiga is dead, but after a small check of what HW is available @ amigakit, one is truly amazed !!
(At this rate I might end upgrading also my Classic and getting the missing machines to my collection...)
Now I'm also pretty sure that one day there will be also new 68k (FPGA) accelerators and PPC (440) accelerators. Last edited by KimmoK on 21-Mar-2010 at 07:00 PM.

| This has very exiting potential for us CyberstormPPC OS4 Classic users that are currently limited to 128MB Ram.
Any possibility of Hyperion supporting this new expansion? _________________ 4000T/BFG9060 CD32/Elsat ProModule, TF360 CD32/ Edu's CD32 <> A1200 Adapter, Vampire V2 CD32/ FMV Module

| We thought that it could also be good for users who just have an A3640 accelerator with no memory expansion capabilities. _________________ Amiga Kit Amiga Store Links: www.amigakit.com | New Products | A600GS

Of course the possibility is there. Hyperion is still an active company, so showing your interest to them would of course help. Maybe best to show your interest to AmigaKit? _________________ AmigaOS 4.x Beta Tester - Classic Amiga enthusiast - http://www.hd-zone.com is my Amiga Blog, check it out!

| I cant afford to waste Zorro slots with multiple cards, need it all in one.

| Now how about a nice replacement FPGA for the Buster chip, to achieve maximum Zorro 3 performance.

| Is this really feasible?? I mean, it would be cool, but wouldn't it be very expensive? _________________ AmigaOS 4.x Beta Tester - Classic Amiga enthusiast - http://www.hd-zone.com is my Amiga Blog, check it out!

| If OS4 can address this RAM, I'll be buying one for sure... After my 4000T is fixed that is. |
