Software News   Software News : New version of WarpPNGdt
   posted by arnljot on 10-Apr-2010 11:17:09 (1801 reads)
Oliver Roberts have released version 45.13 of WarpPNGdt which is a bugfix release.

* Fixed the WarpOS version from crashing with preferences options set.

* Added a workaround for a VBCC compiler bug affecting the WarpOS version which could cause a system lockup when calling the GM_RENDER method (e.g. when using Multiview with the AfA OS picture.datatype).

Is there any advantage on using WarpDTs on OS4.1.1? Any experience to share?

Thank you for this new update, I saw any problem with PNG pictures with transparency in 68k version, in OS 4 it goes very well.

They show the pictures more fast than normal datypes and you can configure several things with WarpDT Prefs.

So it is basically for picture enhancement and nothing more?

Well, good work, but I was hoping to finally be able to play Heretic 2, freespace and Shogo Mad the full versions without any problems, glitches, or so they are deemed playable.

Cheers

@Gebro
WarpDT have no any connection with Warp3D (different names, just almost the same for first looks). Its just datatypes, which called WarpDT(WarpDataTypes). There is nothing related to Warp3D in any case.
