Some more info would be welcome. What is the icons' format, what is their purpose, a preview screenshot might come in handy too...

I agree. I personally get a bit bored with all those lousy posts with one sentence and one download link.

People please make your post a bit comprehensive and show screenshots in the second part of the article.
You want to promote your product, wrap it up so that people understand it better!

Take Gizmodo as an example...

There is a lot of information about these icons missing, so can the uploader be more specific?

@thread

May I just add that these can easily be changed into AmigaOS4 icons with PNGIcon2Amiga from OS4Depot.Net.

In that case, news category should be changed.

Thanks for the insight into the archive. It is more informative now.

Why would one want to convert them for OS4? They work as is.

@elwood

I believe the AmigaOS4 team has decided against PNG icons, so some might actually want to convert them, instead of using the icon module.

Wow, a lot of nice art work and impressive, but I'll pass. Size and icon drawing is everything. Also, they're pre-defined 'system icons' for MOS. It's like Gnome icons, nice looking and belong in a linux system and not in OS4.

@zerohero

You don’t need to convert the icons, just install the PNG icon module from OS4Depot instead.

It’s as simple as creating a drawer somewhere and put the icon module in to that drawer. (How to exactly do it is written in the readme file included)

http://os4depot.net/index.php?function=showfile&file=library/misc/png_im.lha

Way it’s not included in AmigaOS4.1 is don’t know, I find it where annoying I can tell you that.

Thanks for the screenshot... i hate when people post news about software or related things without providing one, especially if it's something i can't test myself because it's intended for another OS. But i hate it when it happens on OS4depot too, lol.
I like your background picture too.

OK! I'll walk you through it:

The AmigaOS4 development team has decided against PNG icons, that's why it's not included.

That is also why I suggested that some might want to convert them to AmigaOS4 icons instead, so they can use them without the icon module.
