   posted by MickJT on 10-Jun-2010 10:18:26 (9491 reads)
Lugaru HD, from Wolfire Games, is an action-adventure fighting game with an anthropmorphic rabbit as the main protagonist.

It has an arcade and campaign mode with a decent back-story.

It can be downloaded from OS4Depot. It is currently in the upload queue.

For more information and screenshots, check http://www.wolfire.com/lugaru

Please read the .readme for information on modifications for the Amiga port.

It reminds of the scene in the 'Matrix Reloaded' film where hundreds of Agent Smiths attack Neo in that playground. Looks fun.

Like to see some pictures of this. What does 3d mean? Is is isometric 3d like that other Amiga bunny game?

I've grown to distrust the term 3d when applied to AmigaOS4, Linux and Port all at once.

Edit: You meant running on AOS4? Sorry, can't help you there. I don't have my AmigaOne X1000 yet. I will. Someday. Soon, hopefully.

I gave it a try, not my type of game but it's always nice when someone spend the time and effort to enlarge our software catalogue

Gave it a try on my Sam 533mhz and as expected it ran like #### on it. The framrate was crawling at only a few fps with graphic corruption and changing textures everywhere.

Nice to hear that it works fine on the flex at least. Which GFX card do you use on it?

I'm running a Samflex@800 with 1 GB Ram and a radeon 9250 with 128 MB Video ram...from what i read the game is very intensive on Vram and that's probably why your Sam is suffering with it

@Tomas

It requires 128MB of VRAM. I am re-uploading to correct the .readme (which is also inside the archive).

As for screenshots. I did submit them to OS4Depot before I uploaded the source, but they haven't been approved yet.

I got around 0.5-1 FPS on my SAM440ep, it seems i have much to less VMEM (64MB).

edit: i have 55MB free VMEM on workbench and turned compositing off

That almost sounds like Quake on my 030 A1200.

@Fingus
On my peg2 /1ghz /radeon9250 128mb - everything on maximum and in ON state, in 640x480: ~10fps. When evertyhing off, but still the same 640x480 - jumping from 15 to 30fps.

It have a good look but sorry my Sam of 533Mhz doesn't can with the 3D graphics; I'll have to buy a new Amiga system with 1GHZ or more to can enjoy this game and others.

I knew there'd be software that Amiga users will be buying X1000 and 460ex for :)
