Software News   Software News : Audio Evolution 4 for MorphOS released
   posted by DaveAE on 28-Aug-2010 18:55:14 (4161 reads)
The multi-track audio recording and editing software Audio Evolution 4 is now available for MorphOS! With almost identical features to the AmigaOS4 and AROS version, it allows non-linear and non-destructive editing of 16-bit audio, real-time effect processing, automation, multi-track playback and much more. Visit the Audio Evolution website for more information, download the demo or buy it now for only 49 euro!

Many thanks go out to the MorphOS developer team who helped me out tremendously with getting my hardware up and running and solving software issues!

Thanks for trying out AE4. There may be some fonts or libs installed on my system that are not available on other systems. Did you copy the fonts and do you have popupmenu.library installed? Perhaps that's it.

Doesn't even start without popupmenu.library (ends with a requester). After installing it starts without any hits here (I also have inverzeropage set). Btw. thats on a MacMini.

Is there any place were I could download example projects ?

/must start learning the app before my free AROS-version arrives

Nice work!

By the way, minor thing, but in my opinion worth fixing... The MorphOS entry in the list reads "Audio Evolution for MorphOS", you might want to add 4 there (as with the others), considering there are both older and newer versions for other platforms available on the very same page.

@rzookol

I have (or think I have) enabled that option, but now my PowerMac doesn't boot and I'm not sure if enabling the debug -g option in a new build will give me the same line numbers from the hunk/offset from your log. I'll let you know once my machine is up and running again!

@Jupp3

Thanks. You mean in the Products list? It states 4 here on IE8.

@DaveAE

Ok, i'll test a new version.
Without invzeropage Your program works.
With invzeropage it hangs right after pushing OK on splash window.

I found it (my boot argument was wrong, so my pmac now works again with the invzeropage option). I'm in the process of fixing it.

Fixed it (hopefully!), please try again with version 4.0.20.

Thanks for the report!

@Kronos

I'm afraid there are no example projects, they would take too much storage and bandwidth.

@Templario

I'm not sure what you mean, AE4 has been available for OS4 for 6 or 7 years.

Hi Davy,

Nice work.

Do you have any plans to add MIDI functionality to the OS4/MOS versions?

No, that would be way too much work.
