Announcement   Announcement : Official AMC website open!
   posted by Allanon on 10-Nov-2010 22:12:41 (2664 reads)
Hello everyone,
since the release of AMC is now imminent, I invite everyone to visit the new official website at this link.
Also I invite all those interested in the project to register on the official forum at this link.

With these two resources I hope to give good support to the software and create a community of users that can support each other and exchange tips, especially regarding the development of new plugins and themes.

Finally I hope to receive feedback, positive or negative, that allows me to further improve AMC and make it unique in its kind.

AMC
Be entertained!

@Petah

Why is a HTML validation "always" the first comment people launching new Amiga sites gets in this forum?

Good to see continuous progress on this, the website looks nice (I like the 'glowing' AMC banner).
I'm looking forward to trying out the software: do you think you'll still have a release of all versions at once (AROS, AmigaOS 4.x, MorphOS)?

@Boot_WB
We are testing the RC1 for AROS right now, if things will go as supposed we will release the version for AROS first (hopefully in a couple of days), then the AmigaOS4, which needs only some fixes and more testing (maybe the week after the AROS release) and last the MorphOS version only because we don't own a MOS system so we are collaborating with external testers.
I hope that in the next 3/4 weeks all three version will be available for download.

@ bitman

Hehehe thats so funny. Yeah I got the same crap when I launched www.amigaos.net 2 weeks ago. Do these people not realise that every other page on the internet has validation errors? lmao

But I do agree with g01df1sh, the logo in A.M.C. is very bright!

@Allanon

Good to know, thankyou.

(PS - I guess (from your username) that you are a Terry Brooks fan? I was following the Shannarah series a good 15 years ago, but lost track a long time ago. )

Great stuff!

Only thing I find wierd and potentially annoying is the tiny hole in the cloud used for browsing through the (potentially very large) media archive. It occupies less than half the screen height and using a large font (for TV I guess which is OK). In all demos I've seen this tiny hole being scrolled up and down in the cloud always puzzled me.

What could be so important in the cloud that the hole has to be so small?

@Deniil715
Don't worry, the menu frame can be enlarged and/or fonts can be reduced to let enter more items in the menu :)
